7 Holiday Healthy Habits You Should Follow

1 - Breakfast:

a) While on the way to work, instead of buying a huge bagel and cream cheese or cinnamon roll. Wait till you get to work, or around 10 or 11am for another healthy alternative. This is when the digestive system is able to digest food properly.

b) Instead of reaching for a cup of coffee, reach for a cup of water instead. Water will help speed up your metabolism to start the day, where as coffee will only dehydrate the cells and probably convert some of that sugar into unwanted fat.

2 – Alcohol:

It’s hard for alcohol to be one’s enemy during the holiday season. Alcohol is fine as long as it’s in moderation. However, keep in mind that alcohol is reach in sugar and carbohydrates. Instead of going for the sweet drinks and cocktails at the special event, go for champagne or dry wine, especially red.

3 – Exercise:
a) While exercise is very important year around, during the holiday season it tends to slow down for most of us. It’s better if you can create some time in the morning to exercise and the benefits usually outweigh exercise at night significantly. If you don’t have time to exercise in the morning, go for a much static and less vigorous activity such as yoga or Pilates.

b) If that doesn’t work at all, a few jump and jacks, push ups, sit ups, body weight squat, crunches in the morning will help start the day fresh.

4 - The 3 NO’s

  • 1.Stay away from harmful, unsavory and unhealthy food such as bread, coffee, beer, and anything that is in a can
  • 2.Who says don’t eat the food that you love. I will indeed eat the food that I love and reject the ones that I don’t need. However, getting the food that you love somewhere safe and healthy is what’s matter the most.
  • 3. Balance the day and any indulgences with colorful fruits, powerful antioxidants, and flamboyant vegetables.

5-Replace Green Tea in place of Coffee

Replace green tea in place of coffee during this holiday season. Not only will green tea help you with pre-event fasting, it will decrease your insulin level or keep it level which in turn will help you lose unwanted weight. 6. Stop Making Excuses

Most of us use the holiday season as an excuse factor to not exercise or eat unhealthy. Please try not to throw your healthy eating habits away and at least performing a few callistetics move at home in the morning. Try not to approach every piece of chocolate and get tempted by all the delicious deserts you will encounter and you’ll be fine.

7. Sleeping and Morning Sex

a) It can he a hardship to get enough sleep during the holiday season, so try to make it a point to enforce a nightly bed time. Keep in mind that the body makes up for lack of sleep during the cold season (winter) by overeating as a protective mechanism, so sleep.

b) Sex is a powerful substitute for morning exercise and will help relieve related holiday – related stress. So early morning sex could be a powerful approach to start an energetic and more relaxing day as well.
