How To Stay Motivated All The Time

Many of us struggle to stay motivated, self-motivation is an important factor in our everyday lives. Some of us may take self-motivation for granted, but not everybody has the self-discipline to work without supervision - without constant supervision some of us will always think of "something else more important to do."

Do you wait until the last minute before you begin revising for an exam?

Do you clean up an hour before you are expecting guests?

Do you always wait until your cupboards are empty before going to the supermarket to stock up on food?

Do you wait until the due date of a work report before completing it?

Well...

What if you can't find your reference books?

What if they arrive two hours early?

What if the supermarket is closed?

What if your boss needs you to do something else URGENTLY?

How many times have you experienced this sort of scenario?

One way to stay motivated is to ask yourself "what if." There is always the possibility that something will come up which prevents you from performing a task, whether at work or at home. If you bear this fact in mind, you will begin to realize the benefits of completing tasks early. Life often becomes less stressful once you clear your "to-do list" and you are able to enjoy your free time without tasks looming over you.

Why not write down a list of the things you've been putting off until "later." Then write down the worst case scenario of leaving these tasks until the last minute. What better reason to get these tasks out of the way?

Surprisingly, a task which is done at the last minute appears to be done in half the time. The main disadvantage of leaving things until the last minute is that we leave no room for error. You could always treat every task you undertake "as if" it has been left until the last minute - this way, once it is complete; you still have time to rectify any mistakes or issues. By regularly applying this gentle pressure to yourself, you will get out of the habit of leaving things until the last minute. You will be more self-disciplined and enjoy your free time more.

"How To Be Greener Like Grass, Blue like Sky and Clear like Water"

Allright! I came across this wonderful picture and thought I might share it with you. At least, the analogy that I can grasp from it compare to your health. You may be wondering why is this picture up on this post? I'll have to admit it, if you think there's no correlation whatsoever at all between this picture and how you live a healthy lifestyle. You may need to think again, and I'll tell you a couple of reasons why.

If you take a good look at these trees below, both short and tall, they have nothing really to worry about. Their leaves are very green and they look like they are smiling, no stress involve. In fact, they are not worrying about stress and give some moron hormone like cortisone and stress advantage over their lives. How about the grass, look how green it is. It seems like it's sucking up so much water from that small lake. Ummm!! I wonder if some of you are drinking as much water as those grass?

Maybe mentally you're not as calm as you used to be due to elevated stress in your life, hence consistently changing your hormones and living you in state of "Darn it! I can't seem to lose weight, or I can't seem to get tone, or I can't gain muscle mass" Hey! get over yourself and start doing the right things so you can live peacefully and healthy like the images in this pictures. In fact, why don't you increase your vitamins and mineral intake? Why don't you commit to just 15-30 mns at least 3 times a week of resistance training and aerobic training during the week. Don't give all your energy to your work load, because the last thing you want is have no energy and no mental focus to be productive at work. I'm talking about overall energy here, both in an out.

Yes, the greens that you're looking at, you need your green foods too. The orange you're staring at in the picture, you need your carotene too, and you definitely need muscular strength and muscular endurance. You can't keep blaming other people, health care professionals, physicians, etc. about your health, when in fact you're not doing what you're suppose to be doing or even follow what they recommend you to do. So get over yourself, stop making excuses, have an action plan and start doing something about it. Okay! if you think you're that stuck and think you CAN'T do it.

Read No Excuses: The True Story of a Congenital Amputee Who Became a Champion in Wrestling and in Life
by Kyle Maynard (Author) and if you don't change any aspect of your life by still making excuses about living healthy, then there might be no hope for you or you just too stubborn to change.

Trust me! your grass will look greener, your sky will become more blue, and your water will be so much clearer, and your spirit will be peaceful.
