"5 Ways To Protect Yourself Against Flu This Season"





I received an email from a customer of mine, that asked about what kind of measures she should take for the upcoming fall and winter season in order not to get sick and the flu.

I will not disclose her last name here, but her first name is Joane. Here's what she asked " Hi Ibsen, your weekly lessons from BurnItforever.com has been helping me tremendously. I am a little concerned about the flu season coming up, do you have any advice on what I should do to protect myself from getting sick"

Okay, if you've been reading my blog for quite sometime now, you are aware that I have talked about this before. Actually, there must be at least 3 posts about this subject on this blog. That's alright if you've never read them.

Base on what Joane asked me, I felt compelled to share with you my answer that I sent her. So, here are 5 ways to protect yourself against the flu season.

Number 1) Exercise Regularly: Yes, you have to exercise regularly because it is a remedy for you with no adverse side effect except for muscle soreness. When you exercise regularly there are many physiological changes that occur within your bodily systems as well as neurologically.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time explaining all the benefits of exercise here on this post, but you should know that, it will help you cope with stress, reduce the risk of inflammation around your joint, increase oxygen uptake, and much more. By the way, you don't necessarily have to lift a bunch of weights to exercise, you can jog, run, rearrange your bedroom, wash your car, redo your garden, go bowling and have fun. As long as you stay active you'll get a lot of benefits.

Number 2) Wash Your Hands Often: During this time of year, there are many germs that are circulating around in the subway system, the car, the house, etc. After you get off a subway, car, share someone hand, make sure you wash your hands with luke warm water for at least 1 minute. If you have dry hand, of course you want to lose some sort of "essential oil" after that.

Number 3) Carry A Lime In Your Bag: Hummm! a lime in my bag. Yes, lime my friend is "a powerful remedy". It's scientific name is Citrus Aurantifolia and it has been used for centuries to help various of tribes. And yes, it was used for various ailments and still today it helps with prevention for flu, fever, scurvy, constipation, respiratory disorder and more. Here's my quick tip for you, after you wash your hands you can use the lime and rob it in your hand. When you go to a restaurant, or a cafe, use a pure of it to add to your tea or water. Even better, if you smell any bad order, smell the lime. By the way, the acid in it kills a lot of bacteria and microbes as well.

Number 4)
Boost Your Immune System: Think of your immune system as the wall of China and there are a lot of invaders behind the wall. If the wall fall because the invaders use some phenomenal strategy than you will crumble down. That's exactly what your immune system is. It's a well organized army comprised of the most elite fighters you can ever imagine, such as: your cells, proteins, tissues, and organs that protects you against microbe, bacteria, pathogens and much more.

So how do you boost your immune system. There are many ways to do so, but a few common ones are: increase your cardiovascular health, exercise regularly, drink more water, keep your body PH level normal, take healthy vitamins, mineral, and antioxidant, and most importantly "clean your bodily systems" to get rid of toxicity. Number 5) Change Your Mind - Set :
I've been asked a multitude of questions about health, fitness, and there is one question that always stand out, and I have been asked over a thousand time and my answer never change. My point is this, if you have a cough, or your throat is itching a little, or you feel some kind of fever hunting you, or headache, it has nothing to do with you been sick. The human mind, body is very keen at recognizing foreign agents, telling us something is going on wrong, and it does its best to protect and eliminate those issues. If your body is helping you fight symptoms, and you're keep on repeating you're sick, guess what's going to happen. You will get sick. Why? because the brain can be programmed with whatever we ingrained in it. In order words, you create your own reality, your own body, your own health, thus your sickness.
