"Three Things That I Use Weekly To Lose Weight Around My Waist Line And Maintain A Flat Stomach."

I get ask all the time, whether I'm at the gym working out, on stage competing, or on the soccer field playing soccer with no shirt, "Ibsen how do you maintain your stomach and your six pack abs?"

I love hearing this question, and the reason being is because I get a chance to teach people and make them understand, it's not just a question of genetic make up, it's more about the structure of your workout regimen, how you supplement, how you rest, how you eat, and your mindset. Period!

That being said, here are the three things that I use to lose weight in my stomach region and keep my six pack abs.

Thing # 1: I drink 2 full glasses on an empty stomach the first thing in the morning. Right after I eat a healthy breakfast, I drink another 2 full glasses of water. Basically, every time I'm going to have a snack, lunch, or dinner, I'll have 2 full glasses before and after. This does three things.

a) It helps with the speed of my metabolism and the excretion of excess garbage that I ingest.
b) It forces me to burn some the calories that I consume a lot quicker, because water is a negative calorie nutrient, and the body still need to raise its temperature to process it, hence burning fat.
c) It helps with "emulsification" of excess fat storage in my body and stomach, I know it's a scientific jargon word, right :). Well, it only means breakdown of fat.

Thing #2 : I take the basic "core nutrition" vitamin D, E, A, C, Calcium, and Omega 3 supplements every single day along side with the increase in water intake and I mix "abdominal interval training" with "running". Except for colon cleanse that I take every two weeks during each month.

The last time I check, I found out that most of us are very busy and live in a fast pace, changing world, therefore there is "No Way" you and I are getting all these basic core nutrition every single day via food, plant, and animal. And guess what...

You need healthy supplementation to help you accomplish this. Here are the healthy supplements that I currently use daily to accomplish this:
a) Omega Science
b) Bone Health
c) Colon Cleanse

Sorry, I can't give you all the healthy supplements that I take because your health and fitness goals may not be the same as mine, but the ones that I just shared with you are basic requirements for everyone living on the surface face of the planet

As for the "abdominal interval training" you can go HERE to find out more, or you can also go to Fit Videos to access some cool abdominal exercises .

Thing # 3: I cut excess sugar in my diet, simply because a lot of it will be converted into fat and get stored around the stomach area, helping with the creation of love handles. Any food that I eat that makes my stomach feel bloated, I either don't eat it anymore or I buy it in a different store, or I'll just increase the dosage of my Colon Cleanse. That always help. Also, if I don't have at least 3 bowels movement in a day, I'll increase my water intake a lot more. That also help tremendously.

There you have it, "three things that I use to lose weight in my stomach and maintain my six packs". Actually, I really gave you more than three things. Use these three things and enjoy the lifestyle of having a flat tummy, a fit body, and better health.

I'm out of here :), don't forget to leave your comments or e-mail.

"How Physical Activity Will Decrease Your Age And Keep You Rejuvenated."

I was at the post office the other day in New York, getting a money order. The line was long and there were a lot of people there. This lady, Karen, who looked like she was in her mid 40's based on my age analysis :) , and I started up on a conversation about the price increase in stamps and the subway fare.

What exactly this short post has to do with fitness, a lot. You'll find out soon, just be patient. This lady, Karen, asked me how old I was and I told her, and then she was surprised. There was this disbelief in her eyes, and her facial expression. Apparently she thought I was 5 years younger than my actual age, as she expressed. I thought that was great she noticed that. It only proves that all my years of devotion to keep myself in shape and healthy works.

Here's the point I'm trying to convey to you today. I bet you didn't know that regular physical activities and proper eating habits with a good amount of sleep can diminish your age by 10 fold. And even if you knew about this, if you are not practicing what you know, then it's really a fable. And this aging thing, fighting to stay younger, has a lot to do with the physiological and pathological, processes of your body, how fast your cells degenerate, and how sharp your mind function.

The truth be told here, if you look a lot older than you suppose to, perhaps you should start cutting down on excess sugar, excess salt, excess saturated fat, try to sweat more, get more sleep, drink plenty of water daily, and stop with all the excuses you make all the time.

Alright, I bet you didn't know either, there are 4 type of ages and the ones that have been given to us, base on scientific evolution is the worst age ever, the chronological age. And if you already knew that's even better.

So here they are in a nutshell:

1) The chronological age: this is pretty much the number of years that we live, and this is mainly calculated by the revolution of our planet earth and its axis. Ummm.. not the best age.

2) The Psychological age: this age has mainly to do with our brain development in relationship with our mental processes.

3) The physiological age: This is our physical development, what goes on inside the body.

4) The pathological age: This age refers to deterioration of the body and the mind really.

That being said, our real age is physiological, psychological, and pathological. And the best way to keep yourself rejuvenated is through consistent physical activities, proper eating strategies, increase sleep, rest time, strengthen your mind, water intake, and detoxify your bodily systems. If you do all these things which aren't too hard to commit too, you will always look younger, vibrant, refresh, and rejuvenated.

Okay! I'm out for today, get your real age in check, chronological age is just a number.

"Get Rid Of Joint Pain, Body Aches And Muscle Soreness!"

Today I'm going to talk to you briefly about "a remedy" that is so potent to every human, and you'll be very mad once you find out what it is if you've been enduring these problems I'm about to cite in a few minutes.

Have you ever bend to pick up a piece of paper and you feel your knee crack, your lower back pull a little? Or maybe you've had other type of joint pain, that won't leave you alone, no matter what you do and what type of medication your doctor prescribe you.

How about arthritis? how stiff are your knee joints, elbow, wrist, and ankle. You may be surprise of how you can get rid of these pain with healthy supplementation, proper exercise, flexibility techniques and proper nutrition. All of these topics can be found at www.bodybuzzfitness.com

Where I am going with all of these. Nowhere actually, I'm staying here with you, so don't lose sight of my post yet :). As a former athlete and current athlete there's a lot of stress that are placed on my joints, and I am always combating that, so I can have healthy joint. Because with age the joints will degenerate a lot quicker and can cause many injuries in both men an women.

You too, you may think you're not too active and your joints are not affected by daily functional movement. Well, they do. Your hip, knees, ankles are weight bearing joint, so you and I use them every single day. Wouldn't it make sense then to keep them healthy. Of course!

Well, here's what I talked to you earlier, the remedy is "fish oil" Omega Science. I use it for my joint and the positive effect is always great. It allows me to get rid of joint stiffness, joint discomfort, and help me with my range of motion as well. My skin is always smooth too because of that.

Frankly, it feels good for me to have my muscles relaxed after a grueling workout, because Omega Science helps me with faster healing of the micro tears in my muscles, it helps provide better cushioning for my bones, plus it's a preventative measure for any future injuries that may be wandering around the corner waiting for me.

Anyway, I'm done writing. My body needs more calorie so I have to go consume some more. Just make sure you check out Omega Science. Denise, I think gave you the best answer I could for your question. Great! so keep doing your active stretches, reduce the load of too much heavy weight on your joints, get your hand on Omega Science and kick degenerative joint malfunction out of the door.

Thank you for reading if you're new to this blog. Don't forget to post your comments or send your questions in.

Two Quick Ways To Save On Gym Membership And Stay Active

Hi Ibsen, I'd love to workout at a nice gym but I can't afford it at this time. What should I do?
You have a couple of options to chose from. First, You can find a way to reduce your gym membership through your employer by asking for any special rates.

You can also do that by asking the information desk concierge at your fitness club about any special discount for long time member. Also another way to still participate at a fitness club, if that's your choice. You can find out about major discount companies that may be in association with your gym. A place like www.Globalfit.com is a good and reputable company for that type of scenario, and you can save a lot if you use them.

Second, you can terminate your gym membership for 3 -6 months and exercise at home. Buy a few home gym equipments at a discount store for low prices then use them to exercise at home or the park. You can go to Fit Videos to get free bi-weekly exercises to do, or you can find some other free way to exercise online or asking people you know who like to take care of their body and stay healthy - just do a quick research online a well, you may be surprised with what you come up with.

The point is, you have to remain physically active. There are so many avenues to do so, don't let any current situation stop you from staying physically active. You'll thank yourself for it in the long run, trust me on that. I've been there, done that, and know exactly what I'm talking about.

Alright, I'm out. Leave your comments below..!

There Is Power Within You For Great Health and Your Body

Yesterday morning I had to go trough a rigorous lower body workout and my mind was not incline to it at all. I literally gave up. As I was in my office working on a project, I felt I was lacking something. My mind wasn't so sharp, and it took me quite a while to finish the project.

As I looked up at my computer screen, I saw one of my favorite poems "Give It Your Best" by Bruce Wilmer. I read it, and I suddenly remember that I will be competing soon for a Fitness Modeling contest in a few months. This fire suddenly ignited my soul, and I felt energized.

You see, every one of you reading this post right now live for something, and this something is "The ability to accomplish our dreams". There is a power within you that is very deep, and it's waiting for you to act on it.

If you have a purpose, hold on very firm to your dream, whether that'd be losing 30 pounds in 3 months, maintain your current weight, finish school, buying a home, go on your favorite vacation. It doesn't matter, you will accomplish it, once you can ignite the power that is within your soul.

Don't ever give up on your dreams, your purpose and what you love for anyone. As long as you truly want it and want to live it, you will get it. That's why this song below is one of my favorite inspirational songs of all time. I share it with you. Listen to the words and know that whatever it is that you are struggling with at this point in life, you will get out of it sooner than you may think and become a victor of the heart. JUST BELIEVE...!

Here's the video..!

5 Ways To Stay Healthy And SAVE $$$

In regards to a question I received a few days ago, I'm writing this post not only to answer her question but it will help you as well. The question asked was "what are the best ways to stay healthy and save with this economic trend?

The are many ways to do this and they are quite simple. Hopefully these 5 simple ones will help you.

#1 Cut down on gym expenses in half. If you were paying $100/month at a fitness club, find one that you can afford at $50. Of course some of the amenities may be a little different. The key here you are saving and finding a way to stay healthy.

#2 Prepare your food at home. Even though I know how to cook, it doesn't mean that I don't go out to eat at a nice restaurant. However, I have cut down my expenses in half. In fact, I have more food in my refrigerator now that I can make and go to the restaurant less. It's no difference whether you're earning 250k/year or 5ok/year, you still can save and be healthy if you are disciplined enough. If you don't know how to cook, watch some of the weekly recipes that are posted at www.bodybuzzfitness.com

#3 Exercise at home and the park. If your goal is not to get bulky and gain 10 pounds of muscle mass, you don't necessarily need a gym or a fitness facility to stay in shape and have a great workout. Yes, you'll miss your buddies there, or the social environment of your club. Guess what..! you still can have that at home as well. In fact, it could be more enjoyable than you may think. Again, free challenging weekly home and park exercises are posted at www.bodybuzzfitness.com in Fit Videos, all for free of charge.

#4 Walk more, drive less. If you use your car a lot to go to work or the gym, you can use the bus or the train, or park your car at a different station. This help you accomplish two things. Number one, you are able to walk more, burn more calories, stand a little, and move around more, rather than sitting in a car and driving all day long, which is not so good for your joints, your hips, and back muscles. Number two, you are able to save on high gas prices, and reduce your stress level because you don't have to cope with angry drivers and risking bad accidents, nor a heart attack.

#5 Donate unusable books and clothes to a charity that you can get a tax refund for and use this portion of your salary to participate in something you love. This helps you accomplish two important things. First, you get to be involved in something that you enjoyed as a kid and always loved.

For example, if you missed dancing and liked it a lot, get involve in a jazz/hip hop or ballroom dance class, or ride a horse. You get the idea. Second, you donate for a good cause, you take 1- 5% of your monthly check an allocate to that hobby of yours that you love so much and at the end of the year you get tax deductible for it all. Now, that's great saving and greater joy.

I hope you get involve and use these 5 tips to better your health and your fitness at this point in time. Please leave your comments below and let us know how these tips are helping you.

The Right Exercise And Foods For Your Body..!

I had a great workout today and a special lunch. My workout was great because the entire time I was focused on one thing "finishing". I spent 30 minutes, all high intensity pushing and pulling for my upper body. I did some work for my oblique system (side abs) and my lower abdominus (low ab).

You'll find out in a few months about these workouts in a series of videos that my team and I are currently working on. My quick point here is this, "if you start it, make sure you finish it", not just exercising, no matter what it is that you want in life.

How do you know if an exercise is the right fit for your body type? The best way to find out is to observe how your muscles, your mind, your mood, and energy react to the type of exercise you're doing. Pay attention to the angle at which you are either pulling, pushing or rotating. Also, try to understand how your body feels from the exercise in a couple of days, such as, are you too sore? Do you dislike it (not for quitting reasons of course)? Are you looking forward to doing doing it again, etc?

Great! you're still here with me, and I know you've been waiting to hear about my special lunch. I know, and I will share it with you, but I won't give you a recipe here as usual. If you're looking for great recipes, just check the recipe page at www.bodybuzzfitness.com. Every week it changes.

Back to my special lunch. I had Canery bean(very high in protein, 14 g) mixed with green pepper, and onion. On the side I also had long grain brown rice, made with butter, parsley and black pepper. I also had a huge bowl of dark green leaves salad with some other colorful leaves and fruits in there. My bottle of water was big too. I like Figi and that's what I had today.

Alright, how do you detect the foods that are really good for your body type, metabolic type (i.e your body may need more protein and fat, or more carbs with less protein and fat, or a mixed of them both) for you to operate optimally at your best. Well, start paying attention 5 to 10 minutes after you eat any kind of foods.

What is the response of your stomach? Do you feel bloated? Do you feel heavy, light, lethargic, energetic? Do you just get hungry again one hour after that or 3 hours after that? Do you feel gassy, about wanting to eat more and more of that food? These are just simple ways you can determine if any kind of food is doing you good or bad.

Alright, I'm out of here, talk to you some other time. Hey..! don't forget to post your comment.

Meditation For Fitness 5 -15 Mintues A Day!

It was exactly around 10:00 pm o'clock last night that I thought of meditating and bring my entire body back to center. It was a very productive day for me as usual, and the most important aspect of my day was the ability to sustain great energy throughout my entire workout session.

Alright, let me stay in line with the quick story here. Meditation has been in existence for thousands of years. It's a form of connecting with yourself, nature and your surrounding, beyond anything you can ever imagine. To simply put, it is a form of mental discipline that can take you from one world to another one.

You will not understand until you at least try it, and it can be very fun. Anyhow, I haven't meditated for a few months. Last night I decided to spend only 15 minutes doing it. The feeling was magnificent, a little uncomfortable though I have to admit, because you have to get use to and be able to focus your mind on one particular thing. My main focus last night was breathing and concentrating on how much excess of fat tissues I'm going to trim away from my waist line in 3 weeks.

You get the idea, right. Well, guess what! I slept like a baby and woke up 10 times with more energy and mental clarity the next day. Now, hows that for just 15 minutes as a token of great health. And yes this has a lot to do with fitness. In fact, add just 5 minutes of meditating into your lifestyle. You can do it at work while you sit, or when you lay in bed at home. You'll be amazed after a month of all the changes that will occur in your busy lifestyle, your health and your body.

Okay, I'm out! Go get your 5 -15 minutes meditation on, and let me know how it went for you.

Get Some Fresh Air and Breathe Better..!

I woke up very early this morning, and my apartment in NYC was extremely cold. I knew I set the heater on before I went to bed. What went wrong and what in the heck does that have to do with health and fitness?

Apparently, in the middle of the night it was very hot, I couldn't sleep well, my nostrils were unhappy, the heater was blasting, and making a very strange loud noise. I got up and turned it off almost all the way and open the windows in my bedroom. Suddenly, the fresh, cool, breeze air came through the windows, and I was able to breathe better again. What a great feeling! Wait a sec.. I thought the heater must stay on and the windows must be closed during the winter time.

I used to believe this statement. Unfortunately, my lungs, and my respiratory system never like the poisonous and gaseous air I was supplying my body and my mind. So it's inevitable that I had to rescue them. You see, if you don't have a high hand, expensive, clean operating heater system in your house, you probably are inhaling a lot of carbon dioxide during your sleep, and foreign pollutants.

When you wake up in the morning, your mood will be affected, even your mind. Yes your thinking ability as well, so don't feel bad if you lose your memory for a few minutes and keep banging your head, feet, or arms in a few places before you're totally awake.

See, when you close your windows completely, the natural air (well it's not so natural since there are so many pollutants in the air nowadays, at least where I live) that you and I were born to breathe is missing. If you have experimented before in the past inhaling fresh air in a very clean environment or a clean park, you'll know there's a huge difference breathing that type of air then any city air.

The lesson is this: if you keep on inhaling bad air, polluted air, and don't forget the air you are breathing in your own house may be affecting you, your spouse and your children' health, and you're not even aware of it. You need to get your hands on a nice air filter, or even better, keep the windows a little open. Try to breathe as much as clean air as you can, your lungs, your respiratory system, and your mind will thank you for it, even your performance level throughout the day will thank you for it.

Okay..! I'm out, go get some fresh air.

Get Involved in BootCamp Classes and Save...!

Here's a question I am asked often. In this down time, I want to save and spend less, and I still want to work out and keep my body in shape. How do I do it?

There are many ways to cut down expenses and still find a way to exercise regularly. One of the best ways to do this is to get involved in Bootcamp classes. You can find a facility or fitness experts in your area that offer them and sign up for them. Usually these are low cost fitness classes you can attend for a lot less money.

You can get a lot out of these classes too. For example, you'll burn approximately 500 -1000 calories in just 60 minutes, release your stress level, clarify your mind, energize your thoughts process, increase your energy and stamina for the day, and much more. I've taught bootcamp classes before and they are very fun to be part of for both the instructor and the students. So find one and get involve.

The other way you can reduce cost and still exercise regularly is at the comfort of your own home or your back yard. BodyBuzz Fitness Fit Videos provide you with that or you can find some other company that offers exercises for free you can learn and do at your home. If you find anything grandiose or you'd like to get my opinion, let me know.
